About Dr. Shepherd (he/him, they/them)

Troy Shepherd, OCT, PhD is the founder of Mathematizing Spirit. He is an innovative learning coach, independent scholar, author, and speaker who has earned Bachelor's degrees in science, commerce and education.  He has also earned Master's and PhD degrees in education from the University of Toronto. His research involves a simple mathematical proof that births a new way of 'thinking' in education. It demonstrates that mathematics and metaphor are two sides of the same coin. Dr. Shepherd has presented his research on this new way of thinking at the World Congress of Education, University of Toronto and York University. He inspires innovative school leaders globally, to enhance critical thinking, cross-curricular integration and cross-cultural understanding for global citizenship.
